Just a few months after the Sandy Hook shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, I watched an interview with a couple who had lost their son in the tragedy. I was so moved by their love for their son and the incredible kindness and generosity of spirit that shone through their grief, the line, "and love is the final word in this, don't you worry it's love that wins" just would not leave my mind. This song emerged as a response to witnessing their great love and courage.
