Through my work as a music therapist, I have the great privilege of working with people in some of their most vulnerable and challenging moments. This song was inspired by a woman with a beautiful spirit. She was fighting a terminal illness with grace and courage. Throughout my time with her, I thought about the fragility of hope and also it's life giving power, how hope is not about an outcome but about a presence, a way of showing up in the world and in our lives.
