about

I wrote this song for my daughter on a cold December night when she was just a tiny baby. A lullaby is such an ancient song. There is something innate in each human child that responds to this form of music. As a singer and music therapist I found that music was one of the most primal forms of connection and comfort for my daughter. This song is for Eloise, for my love for her and my hopes for her.

lyrics

CHORUS
Hush my baby, don't you cry
As the stars light up the sky
Hush sweet darling, close your eyes
I'll sing you a mother's lullaby

VERSE ONE
May you always find the light
Even on the darkest night
Know God's love is never far
It is always where you are

CHORUS

VERSE TWO
Love you neighbor near and far
Sister and brother, wherever you are
Peace with every living thing
My wish for you on this eve

CHORUS
